Suhail Anwer

Mr. Anwer has over 43 years of experience in managing energy sector EPC and manufacturing operations in a renowned multinational company including strategic planning, budgeting and administration. He has worked with Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Karachi Electric, MEW Afghanistan, National Transmission & Dispatch Company Pakistan, and state-owned Electricity Distribution Companies in Pakistan. As Director GEPCO, Mr. Anwer has been involved in interpreting policies of the Board of Directors, establishing organizational priorities, and monitoring performance. Development of overall approaches to Electric System issues and priorities. Recommendations in matters related to delivery of utility services. Supervision of utility improvement plans to ensure that the utility meets customer service obligations as well as operating and financial requirements. Ensuring that the utility’s operations are run in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner. Ensuring that the operational and capital budget is aligned with goals, service needs, budget policies and procedures. Ensuring that personal development, safety and training programs are designed and successfully implemented across the utility. Ensuring that cost effective technology is deployed to meet the distribution system’s strategic objectives, and to enhance staff productivity and improve customer service. As Advisor to Chint Electrical, he focused on transmission, distribution and consumption, clean energy, energy system of supply, storage, energy distribution, big data, energy value-added services, and low-voltage apparat-uses. He has been involved in provision of consulting services for Business and Projects related to Power Utilities. He holds Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) from NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi (1976)
