Mr. Malik has over 25 years of expertise in developing business models and financing mechanisms for renewable energy, energy resource assessments, energy efficiency, policy review, climate change, carbon foot-printing, and CDM projects. He has led large scale renewable energy and energy efficiency initiatives involving policy reforms, energy consumption assessments, performance benchmarking, and development of policy instruments for access to finance for industrial productivity improvements. His has secured over $66 million in investments, oversaw feasibility studies for over 400 sites with over 300MW of potential for Solar Power Plants, and managed projects funded by public and private sectors and multi and bilateral IFIs (funded by EU, IFC, WB, USAID, KfW, GIZ, and others). He has also structured credit guarantee facilities, closed financing for more than 30MW of Solar PV Power Plants, and contributed to financial and economic feasibility assessments, investment valuations, and power project finance advisory. He has done BBA in Finance form Georgetown University, Washington, D.C and MBA Finance from INSEAD, France.
