Nasir Mehmood

Mr. Mehmood has over 40 years of experience in both private and public organizations. Throughout his career, he has been responsible for providing engineering supervision planning and design of power distribution system. He has been involved in planning and designing grid stations and transmission lines. Mr. Mehmood has been responsible for negotiations with ADB for allocation and disbursement of funds for the different projects. He has also been involved in assisting Korean Consultants for preparation of bidding documents for construction of above projects. Through his career, he had been responsible for designing of distribution works and preparation of specifications/standards of power distribution materials.  Mr. Mehmood has worked as a Project Coordinator with PITCO. He has been supervising replacement of outdated meters under the USAID Power Distribution Program in multiple DISCOs. As Chief Engineer Development ADB, Mr. Mehmood was responsible for negotiations with ADB for allocation and disbursement of funds for the following projects: Conversion of 66 kV grid station to 132 kV level; Addition/Augmentation of 600 distribution transformers for energy loss reduction. As Chief Engineer GEPCO, he was involved in planning and design for augmentation and rehabilitation of existing power distribution and STG system for improvement and stability of power supply system and energy loss reduction. He holds B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from University of Engineering & Technology, Peshawar, 1973.
