Muhammad Zaheer Malik

With over 35 years of experience in power transmission and distribution (T&D) projects across South Asia and the Middle East, Mr. Muhammad Zaheer is an accomplished Project Manager and Professional Engineer. He has successfully overseen large contracts, engineering, procurement, and construction of T&D projects, with expertise in material planning, procurement, tendering, and the development of technical standards. Mr. Zaheer has managed projects involving 0.4kV to 132kV networks, rural electrification, substation setup, and AMR solutions. His also includes developing technical documents, monitoring project performance, undertaking tariff analysis, implementing energy conservation strategies, and ensuring compliance with quality standards and deadlines. He has been instrumental in the development of smart metering systems, project planning for public sector funding agencies like the World Bank and ADB, and the procurement and inspection of T&D materials. Additionally, he has provided technical and advisory services to large utility companies, overseen the inspection and maintenance of power generation plants and equipment, and contributed to the development of standards for T&D material. He holds MS degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore and an MA in Administrative Sciences from University of Punjab, Institute of Administrative Sciences, Lahore.
