										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>From August 2019 to March 2021, PITCO prepared prefeasibility study reports for renewable energy assessment at designated factories in Karachi and Lahore, funded by the International Finance Corporation (IFC). The project aimed to assess the feasibility of installing rooftop solar PV systems at pre-selected industrial sites and draft technical and financial feasibility studies for recommended technologies.</p>
<p>PITCO&#8217;s services included on-site assessments of electricity requirements, load types, grid power status, load-shedding patterns, backup power usage, and solar resource availability. PITCO developed separate feasibility studies for each participating unit, covering project scope, site assessment, regulatory requirements, building structure analysis, electrical system assessment, energy yield assessment, system design, and financial analysis. The studies aimed to facilitate the installation of rooftop solar PV systems at industrial sites, promoting renewable energy adoption in Pakistan&#8217;s industrial sector.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>From January 2014 to April 2017, PITCO participated in the World Bank&#8217;s ESMAP initiative for renewable energy resource (solar) mapping across Pakistan. The project aimed to support the sustainable expansion of electricity generation from solar power by providing the Government of Pakistan and commercial developers with an improved understanding of solar resources&#8217; location and potential at the country level. The project involved collaboration with DLR Germany, Ecofys Netherlands, and CSP Services Germany.</p>
<p>The services provided included project inception, preliminary modeling, implementation planning, ground-based data collection using high-quality solar measurement devices, and production of validated solar resource maps. The project delivered a comprehensive Solar Atlas report describing the final outputs, methodology, and process, including geographic information system (GIS) data. This initiative aimed to support renewable energy development and provide open access to resource and geospatial mapping data for better decision-making.</p>

Ltd., conducted renewable energy resource mapping for Nepal under the World Bank&#8217;s ESMAP initiative from March 2018, with ongoing activities. The project aimed to support the Government of Nepal&#8217;s objectives to develop 200 MW generation capacity of grid-connected solar and wind projects over the next ten years. The solar measurement campaign included planning, commissioning, and implementing high-quality solar measurement at five sites.</p>
<p>The project involved visiting proposed site locations, procuring and importing measuring equipment, arranging for site permitting and access, commissioning sites, and providing two years of high-quality meteorological data. The data collected was transferred to an open data platform for public dissemination, ensuring strong local involvement and capacity building. This initiative aimed to produce a country-adapted and validated solar map for Nepal, supporting long-term sustainable development in the renewable energy sector.</p>

The project aims to create a GIS-based least-cost electrification map that identifies the optimal route for electrification through grid expansion and off-grid services in Pakistan. The study is expected to assist the Federal and Provincial Governments in policy development and investments to achieve universal electricity access.</p>
<p>PITCO&#8217;s services include data collection, validation, and assembling digitized data layers to support the spatial planning platform. PITCO identified areas without electricity access, potential beneficiaries, and priority service delivery infrastructures. The project involved digitizing the existing and planned electricity grid network and renewable energy resource availability data. PITCO created a GIS-based spatial least-cost electrification plan, assessed various electrification options, and conducted stakeholder consultations. The project also included projections of electricity connections and demand, technology comparisons, and recommendations for off-grid applications.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>From November 2020 to August 2021, PITCO has been working on a feasibility study for establishing three Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) hubs in renewable energies in Punjab and KPK, funded by KfW Development Bank. The project aims to provide training facilities that enable trainees to acquire relevant skills and experiences necessary to enter the renewable energy job market. The study focuses on designing and developing the TVET hubs, selecting locations, and analyzing the market demand for renewable energy skills.</p>
<p>PITCO&#8217;s services include sector situation analysis, stakeholder and target group analysis, market demand analysis, selection of TVET hub locations, and analysis of key RE industry actors. PITCO also designed the TVET hubs, including facilities, equipment, teaching material, occupational profiles, distant learning integration, training certificates, staffing requirements, and financial sustainability. The study also involved overall project design, impact hypothesis, institutional setup, implementation modality, cost and financing plan, risks and mitigation measures, and environmental and social impacts</p>
