										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>From January 2014 to April 2017, PITCO participated in the World Bank&#8217;s ESMAP initiative for renewable energy resource (solar) mapping across Pakistan. The project aimed to support the sustainable expansion of electricity generation from solar power by providing the Government of Pakistan and commercial developers with an improved understanding of solar resources&#8217; location and potential at the country level. The project involved collaboration with DLR Germany, Ecofys Netherlands, and CSP Services Germany.</p>
<p>The services provided included project inception, preliminary modeling, implementation planning, ground-based data collection using high-quality solar measurement devices, and production of validated solar resource maps. The project delivered a comprehensive Solar Atlas report describing the final outputs, methodology, and process, including geographic information system (GIS) data. This initiative aimed to support renewable energy development and provide open access to resource and geospatial mapping data for better decision-making.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>From 2011 to 2020, PITCO, in association with Fichtner GmbH &amp; Co. KG, provided comprehensive site supervision and contract administration services for the Golen Gol 108 MW Hydropower Plant in Chitral Town, NWFP, Pakistan. The project aimed to ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and manufacturers’ instructions. The scope included site supervision of civil works, mechanical and electrical equipment installation, and compliance with environmental and social safeguards. Key components of the project included civil works for the diversion weir, river diversion, headrace tunnel, surge chamber, pressure shaft and tunnel, and surface powerhouse, as well as the design and installation of electro-mechanical equipment and a 198 km transmission line.</p>
<p>PITCO&#8217;s services involved reviewing tender stage designs, updating tender level reports, and preparing construction drawings. Our team also performed environmental and social safeguard studies, reviewed resettlement action plans, and provided assistance in construction detail design and site supervision. The project ensured the proper execution of civil and electro-mechanical works and facilitated the timely completion of contracts. Technical data included a total head of 400 m, total discharge of 30 m³/s, and a dam with a weir height of 12 m and crest length of 40 m. The powerhouse featured three Pelton units, each generating 36 MW.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>From April 2017 to July 2017, PITCO, in collaboration with Fichtner GmbH &amp; Co. KG, assisted the Government of Punjab in evaluating bids for the 135 MW Taunsa Hydropower Project. The project aimed to select a sponsor for developing the hydropower project under the Punjab Power Generation Policy 2006 (Revised 2009) in IPP mode. The project site is adjacent to the existing Taunsa Barrage on the Indus River in District Muzaffargarh, Punjab.</p>
<p>PITCO&#8217;s services included reviewing the updated feasibility study, evaluating the technical and financial proposals of the received bids, and preparing an Evaluation Report (ER) for NEPRA. Our team assessed the technical responsiveness of the bids, ranked them based on the lowest evaluated levelized tariff, and provided assistance to NEPRA until the approval of the ER. The project ensured a transparent and competitive bidding process, facilitating the selection of a capable sponsor for the development of the Taunsa Hydropower Project.</p>

KG, conducted a comprehensive feasibility study for the 150 MW Sharmai Hydropower Plant in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. <p>PITCO’s services included assisting in the preparation of a bankable feasibility study report, reviewing environmental and social safeguard studies, and preparing the Resettlement Action Plan. Our team conducted site visits, data collection, and preliminary planning and data analysis. PITCO also provided assistance in project planning and design studies, site reconnaissance and field visits, and preparation of EPC tender documents. The feasibility study aimed to ensure the sustainable and efficient development of the Sharmai Hydropower Plant.</p>

Ltd., conducted renewable energy resource mapping for Nepal under the World Bank&#8217;s ESMAP initiative from March 2018, with ongoing activities. The project aimed to support the Government of Nepal&#8217;s objectives to develop 200 MW generation capacity of grid-connected solar and wind projects over the next ten years. The solar measurement campaign included planning, commissioning, and implementing high-quality solar measurement at five sites.</p>
<p>The project involved visiting proposed site locations, procuring and importing measuring equipment, arranging for site permitting and access, commissioning sites, and providing two years of high-quality meteorological data. The data collected was transferred to an open data platform for public dissemination, ensuring strong local involvement and capacity building. This initiative aimed to produce a country-adapted and validated solar map for Nepal, supporting long-term sustainable development in the renewable energy sector.</p>

The project aimed to develop a market environment that stimulates investments in renewable energy and energy efficiency, driving economic growth and supporting industrial development.</p>
<p>PITCO&#8217;s services included reviewing local and international RE and EE policy frameworks, consulting with project partners and stakeholders, preparing final drafts of RE and EE policy recommendations, and presenting these recommendations at a national workshop. PITCO also developed an implementation roadmap, prepared a final policy document, and conducted a validation workshop. The project aimed to create a policy framework that promotes the adoption of renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies and services in Pakistan&#8217;s industrial sector.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>From November 2020 to August 2021, PITCO has been working on a feasibility study for establishing three Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) hubs in renewable energies in Punjab and KPK, funded by KfW Development Bank. The project aims to provide training facilities that enable trainees to acquire relevant skills and experiences necessary to enter the renewable energy job market. The study focuses on designing and developing the TVET hubs, selecting locations, and analyzing the market demand for renewable energy skills.</p>
<p>PITCO&#8217;s services include sector situation analysis, stakeholder and target group analysis, market demand analysis, selection of TVET hub locations, and analysis of key RE industry actors. PITCO also designed the TVET hubs, including facilities, equipment, teaching material, occupational profiles, distant learning integration, training certificates, staffing requirements, and financial sustainability. The study also involved overall project design, impact hypothesis, institutional setup, implementation modality, cost and financing plan, risks and mitigation measures, and environmental and social impacts</p>
