From June 2007 to January 2008, PITCO, in collaboration with Fichtner GmbH & Co. KG, provided technical assistance for a heat recovery power plant project at Kohinoor Maple Leaf Cement Group (KMLG) in Daudkhel, District Mianwali, Pakistan. The project aimed to optimize power generation facilities by utilizing exhaust process gases and setting up a heat recovery system to capture this heat and generate electricity through a steam turbine.
PITCO’s services included site evaluations, creating a concept study, and preparing tender documents. PITCO assisted in evaluating proposals, shortlisting contractors, and managing contracts. Our team undertook site visits, provided recommendations on the most economically viable concepts, and ensured the project led to an applicable and sufficient solution. PITCO were involved in the project up to the contract award, ensuring successful implementation and optimization of power generation facilities at the cement plant.
