Shams Power (Pvt) Ltd.

From November 2020 to January 2021, PITCO served as the Owner’s Engineer for the 474 KW Grid Connected PV Plant at Maxim in Khanewal, Pakistan. The project, led by Shams Power (Pvt) Ltd., involved installing and operating the solar PV power plant autonomously under a long-term PPA with the client. The innovative project aimed to provide clean power at 5% below the baseline cost of electricity for Maxim.

PITCO’s services included conducting a site survey and feasibility study, interconnection point assessment, and capacity analysis. Our team performed in-depth shadow analysis and yield estimation by simulating various configurations of module layout. PITCO optimized the system layout, selected key equipment, conducted structural analysis, and prepared specifications for solar PV modules and inverters. PITCO also assisted in bid evaluation, oversaw power plant erection, performed pre-commissioning tests, and designed the earthing/grounding scheme. The project concluded with commissioning the PV plant and integrating it with the existing system.
