From April 2019 to July 2019, PITCO served as the Owner’s Engineer for the 447.48 kW Grid Tied PV Plant at Akzo Nobel in Lahore, Pakistan. The project, led by Shams Power (Pvt) Ltd., involved installing and operating the solar PV power plant autonomously under a long-term PPA with the client. This innovative project aimed to provide clean power at 5% below the baseline cost of electricity for Akzo Nobel, promoting sustainable energy practices in the industrial sector.
PITCO’s services included conducting a site survey and assessment, feasibility study, interconnection point assessment, and capacity analysis. Our team performed in-depth shadow analysis and yield estimation, optimized the system layout, and selected key equipment. PITCO conducted structural analysis, prepared specifications for solar PV modules and inverters, and assisted in bid evaluation. PITCO oversaw power plant erection, performed pre-commissioning tests, designed the earthing/grounding scheme, and commissioned the PV plant. Additionally, PITCO prepared an O&M Plan and ensured integration with the existing system.
