From January 2021 to June 2021, PITCO served as the Owner’s Engineer for the 1 MWp Rooftop Project for EMCO Industries in Lahore, Pakistan. The project, led by Shams Power (Pvt) Ltd., involved installing and operating the solar PV power plant autonomously under a long-term PPA with the client. The innovative project aimed to provide clean power at 5% below the baseline cost of electricity for EMCO Industries.
PITCO’s services included conducting a site survey and feasibility study, interconnection point assessment, and capacity analysis. Our team reviewed the regulatory environment, performed in-depth shadow analysis and yield estimation, and optimized the system layout. PITCO selected key equipment, conducted structural analysis, and prepared specifications for solar PV modules and inverters. PITCO also assisted in bid evaluation, oversaw power plant erection, performed pre-commissioning tests, and designed the earthing/grounding scheme. The project concluded with commissioning the PV plant and integrating it with the existing system, and preparing an O&M plan.
