Since January 2022, PITCO has been serving as the Owner’s Engineer for the 1.0 MW Solar Power Project at PTC Akora Khattak in Pakistan. The project, led by British American Tobacco Pakistan, involves installing and operating the solar PV power plant autonomously under a long-term PPA with the client. The innovative project aims to provide clean power at 5% below the baseline cost of electricity for PTC Akora Khattak.
PITCO’s services include conducting a site survey and feasibility study, interconnection point assessment, and capacity analysis. Our team reviews the regulatory environment, performs in-depth shadow analysis and yield estimation, and optimizes the system layout. PITCO select key equipment, conduct structural analysis, and prepare specifications for solar PV modules and inverters. PITCO also assists in bid evaluation, oversees power plant erection, performs pre-commissioning tests, and designs the earthing/grounding scheme. The project will conclude with commissioning the PV plant, integrating it with the existing system, and preparing an O&M plan.
