From September 2019 to October 2021, PITCO, in collaboration with Fichtner GmbH & Co. KG, conducted a pre-feasibility and feasibility study for the 70 MW Torkhow and 70 MW Meragram Hydropower Projects in Chitral, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The project, funded  by ACT Hydro (Pvt.) Limited, aimed to develop detailed bankable feasibility studies for the two hydropower projects located on the Torkhow and Yarkhun rivers. The study involved site visits, data collection, preliminary planning, design studies, and risk analysis.

PITCO’s services included conducting pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, site visits, data collection, and preliminary planning and data analysis. Our team reviewed geotechnical and topographical investigations, environmental and social impact studies, and prepared the Resettlement Action Plan. PITCO conducted risk analysis, evaluated financial and economic characteristics, determined the tariff, and prepared a bankable feasibility study report. The feasibility study aimed to ensure the sustainable and efficient development of the Torkhow and Meragram Hydropower Projects.
