Kohinoor Maple Leaf Cement Group (KMLG)
From July 2008 to November 2008, PITCO, in collaboration with Fichtner GmbH & Co. KG, prepared a concept study for a 30 MW coal-fired power plant for Kohinoor Maple Leaf Cement Group (KMLG) in Daudkhel, District Mianwali, Pakistan. The project aimed to optimize power generation facilities at the cement plant by utilizing domestic coal, enhancing energy efficiency, and reducing reliance on external power sources.
PITCO’s services included preparing a concept study covering technical and financial details and evaluating the feasibility of setting up the coal-fired power plant. Our team assisted in assessing the technical and financial viability, considering the plant’s location, coal supply, and environmental impacts. PITCO provided recommendations on the optimal configuration and operational strategies, ensuring the project’s sustainability and efficiency. The concept study aimed to support KMLG’s decision-making process, promoting energy independence and cost-effective power generation.
