AlMoiz Industries Limited
From December 2006 to September 2009, PITCO, in collaboration with First Climate AG Zurich Switzerland, implemented a 27 MW bagasse-based high-pressure cogeneration project at Al-Moiz Mills Limited in Chashma Road, D.I. Khan, Pakistan. The project involved installing two bagasse-based high-pressure boilers (80 TPH each) and two steam turbines (12 MW and 15 MW). The steam generated from the boilers was used to generate electricity, with surplus electricity exported to the grid.
PITCO’s services included a preliminary assessment of the greenfield project activity, preparing the financial feasibility, and assessing the financial additionality as per CDM requirements. Our team selected the appropriate CDM methodology, developed the CDM PDD, and conducted emission reduction calculations and monitoring plans. PITCO assisted in obtaining host country approval, reviewed the Initial Environmental Examination Report, and oversaw stakeholder consultation meetings. PITCO provided comprehensive assistance during the validation process, tariff negotiations, and grid interconnectivity, ensuring successful project implementation and support for sustainable energy practices.
