From January 2022 to Septmber 2022, PITCO has been serving as the Owner’s Engineer for the 500 kW Solar PV Power Plant at Government College University in Lahore, Pakistan. The project, led by Shams Power (Pvt) Ltd., involves installing and operating the solar PV power plant autonomously under a long-term PPA with the client. This initiative aims to provide clean power at 5% below the baseline cost of electricity for Government College University, contributing to the institution’s sustainability goals.
PITCO’s services include conducting a site survey and assessment, feasibility study, interconnection point assessment, and capacity analysis. Our team reviews the regulatory environment, performs in-depth shadow analysis and yield estimation, and optimizes the system layout. PITCO select key equipment, conduct structural analysis, and prepare specifications for solar PV modules and inverters. PITCO assists in bid evaluation, oversees power plant erection, performs pre-commissioning tests, designs the earthing/grounding scheme, and commissions the PV plant. Additionally, PITCO prepare an O&M Plan and study net metering requirements and applicable regulations of AEDB, NEPRA, and DISCOs.
